In Kyiv, they say goodbye to those who died in the plane crash in Brovary
A mourning procession and a farewell ceremony for those who died in a helicopter crash in Brovary took place in Kyiv.
On the morning of January 18, near a kindergarten in Brovary, a helicopter of the State Emergency Service, carrying 9 people, including the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrskyi, his first deputy, Yevhen Yenin, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lubkovich, fell and crashed.
In total, 14 people died – all who were in the helicopter, as well as five civilians on the ground, including one child.
25 people were injured, including 11 children.
A funeral procession with the bodies of the dead managers and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs passed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Ukrainian House in the center of Kyiv, a farewell ceremony was held. Relatives, friends and colleagues of the deceased took part in it.

Farewell to the pilots — aircraft commander Oleksandr Vasylenko, pilot Kostyantyn Kovalenko and flight engineer Ivan Kasyanov — takes place in Nizhyn, Chernihiv region.
The exact causes of the plane crash are still unknown, but the SBU has already announced the main versions that the investigation is considering.
