HC Innsbruck will end the week with a win in the TV game! – Hockey-News.info – All news about national and international ice hockey
HC TIWAG Innsbruck recorded two defeats (against RBS and Caps) in the past week. The week should end successfully with a win against KAC in the live game on Puls 24.
The mood in the Haie camp after the 5:6 defeat last night was naturally low. Nico Feldner, who scored the goal to make it 5-6, criticized himself: “We just can’t get six goals in a home game, we have to stop that and learn from the game.” There’s not much time to think, KAC are coming tomorrow. “We have to prepare well again and be there from the start. KAC is always difficult to play, but in this phase of the championship there isn’t a single easy game anyway. Each team goes all-in, everyone is playing for a seat. We have to be ready,” said Feldner.
Last week, the Haie were without a point for the first time since the end of September/beginning of October, two games in a row, and the Tyroleans lost three times in a row this season, in October. There was also a point win with an OT defeat against VSV. The two defeats against Salzburg on Tuesday and Vienna yesterday also had an impact on the table. The HCI had to let Bozen pass and is now four points behind the South Tyroleans in second place, Salzburg is getting dangerously close from behind. That’s one of the reasons why the Haie want to get back on the winning track tomorrow.
Three wins against KAC so far
The record against record champions from Klagenfurt is flawless this season so far. The Tyroleans celebrated just as many wins in three games, and the season sweep against KAC also beckons with another win. Like yesterday’s opponent Haie Wien, he is in the middle of a tough fight for a place in the top 6, is currently in seventh place, and absolutely needs the points in order not to lose touch with the Caps.
Yesterday the Carinthians celebrated a sense of achievement with a 4:3/SO victory in Vorarlberg. Nevertheless, the KAC has been struggling in recent weeks. The last win after 60 minutes was on December 28th. (6:1 at Laibach), the balance of the last seven games is 3:4 (2 OT wins, 1 SO win, 3 OT defeats, 1 loss after 60 minutes). Despite a few injuries, KAC always remains dangerous due to the strength of the squad. Names like Postma, Fraser, Ganahl, Lessio or Ticar say hello.
