Entertainment show “I’m from the village” on “Belarus 2” resonates in different countries
What disperses city dweller housing abandons prestigious business and comfortable and moves to harsh rural conditions, arrays start all over from scratch? To answer this question, a native Minsker has been traveling around the regions of the country for several months now and looking for the lucky ones, he managed to get to know the taste of village life and build a new business. Many of them become participants in the “I’m from the Village” program. About the plots of the show and many stories with its presenter Vasya CHEKHOV.
There are almost no windows in Vasily’s busy schedule. City life takes up a small part of the time, although there is high-speed Internet and taxis. Whether it’s life in the village! There are many more minutes for happy people, although you also have to work a lot. Vasya Chekhov tells to understand this paradox.
We are changing the city to the countryside!
“I was born and raised in Minsk, so my childhood and youth passed on asphalt,” says the host of the show “I am from the village”. – When I was offered to lead the program, I offered, but did not immediately discover that every time I left the capital, I would reduce stress. For the villagers, this may be funny, but for me, a resident of the capital, it is really difficult to imagine how one can live alone in the village and at the same time not be afraid of either a wolf or a bear. Over time, the realization came: Examples of people who have become villagers of their own choice inspire new things, give enthusiasm!
– Surely the same emotions are experienced by the spectators, among whom only our compatriots are not found …
We post TV episodes of the program on YouTube. In total, the show “I’m from the Village” has already collected more than 2 million views and more than 6 thousand positive comments from representatives of different countries. Everyone agrees: it’s time to get closer to the ground, to return to the village.
— What especially surprised you, amazed during the filming?
— The courage of my heroes. The project participants were not indigenous villagers, but those who consciously exchanged the city for the village. For example, a disappearance from a thriving business in a major metropolis, set up in a farm wilderness nook and now grinds flour from an exporter that contains the granulator itself, bakes bread in a real Russian oven. At the same time, I’m really happy! Such examples of description: the Belarusian village is far from a dull picture with rickety houses, full-fledged peasant farms, colorful estates, successful people who want to use the services of society. Each of my heroes is a strong personality, capable of not paying attention to the “advice” surrounding them and ending as their heart dictates!
— What joys of life in the village did you manage to discover?
— I remember how I arrived in the agro-town of Bluzha, Pukhovichi district, and could not find that the owners, Anzhelika and Maxim, were taking over a cozy estate from a house that had not even been put in danger. Now they not only enjoy the comfort themselves, but also invite tourists. The owner, a former drawing teacher, fashioned the symbol of the estate himself. The owner was previously a livestock specialist on the farm. When the family began to settle in Bluzh, she mastered the profession of director of cultural events. And what delicious gingerbread with different icing she bakes – just delicious! By the way, she also taught me how to sculpt them from dough!
– It is generally accepted that, living in small numbers, there are fewer opportunities to earn good money …
– I myself was sure of this until I started traveling around the regions. My heroes are confirmation that a person who wants to work can realize his financial plans. The main thing is a little creativity and faith in yourself! I was impressed by our heroine, who worked as a photographer in an architectural bureau in the United States. But she left a noisy office in a skyscraper, bought empty houses in a village in Belarus and moved there to live. Now there are master classes in yoga. The example of a businessman from Grodno, Viktor Bartashevich, who restored the Svyatsk Gursky estate, which was remembered from the Augustow Canal, is surprising. Now there is a picturesque nature, to which dozens of tourists come.
Milking a cow is not the worst thing I have ever had to do. Our heroes think over different tasks in advance: mow the grass, wash the horse, drive the geese. All this is happening against the background of the fact that in the affairs of the village I am a complete amateur!
Wash the horse and milk the cow
– During filming, you often come into contact with animals, especially exotic ones for our country. Not scary?
— Adrenaline during filming rolls over, because many of the animals that we film during the show, I see the premiere. For example, a camel, a porcupine do not live in our latitudes. But our heroes breed them in possible farmsteads. To ride a camel, you do not need to go to hot countries. We also have a lot of different exotics. He was afraid to appear to the porcupine, which could throw quills, but for some reason the eccentric with the naturally beautiful mohawk did not. Perhaps trembling at the sight of a stranger bigger than me.
— If life in the village gives you so many pleasant emotions, maybe you yourself are already thinking about a house in the village?
– There are such thoughts. But they are not coming soon. I should learn to hammer nails.
What is the most difficult part of working on a project?
— To overcome the feeling of anxiety before leaving the capital. This is the interest of the audience. It’s cool to watch how I, a complete amateur in business meetings, try, for example, to wash a horse or milk a goat! With difficulties, he helps me adjust the creative team. Today there are about ten people in it: producers, directors, cameramen. After all the material is filmed, the editor goes into action. She, along with a video engineer and a sound engineer, that magic, which is nice to see. It takes about seven days to prepare one series of our delicious adventures.
Filming takes place every week, including in winter. So closer to spring, a delicious portion of my winter “jumpers” awaits. The other day we visited a potter in the Smorgon region. The show has big plans ahead!
Although we don’t impose anything on the show, after watching every Belarusian has a desire to buy a house in the village, love it with all his heart and soul and proudly declare: “I’m from the village!”
