SC Bern – Davos 2: 4
For 20 minutes the world was fine from Bern’s point of view. The home team led 2-0 against Davos in front of a home crowd thanks to goals from Dominik Kahun and Tristan Scherwey. In the middle section, however, the wind shifted. Joakim Nordström brought HCD back into the game with a man down. Thanks to two more goals in a numerical majority, the Grisons turn the party before the second break. The SCB seemed unable to recover from this shock. With an empty netter, veteran Andres Ambühl ensures the final point.
Biel – Geneva-Servette 2: 3 a.e.t
Despite a botched start, Geneva celebrated an overtime victory in the top battle in Biel. Linus Omark secured the additional point for the “Adler” in the 63rd minute. Noah Rod only had the leader in the saved overtime in the 56th minute. The game had started badly for Geneva: Biel is already 2-0 up after 201 seconds. Top scorer Fabio Hofer (after a perfect assist from Gaëtan Haas in a 2-on-1 situation) and Yanick Stampfli scored. Geneva came up better in the middle third and caught up through Giancarlo Chanton.
Train – Friborg 5:3
Three days after the bitter end in the semi-finals of the Champions Hockey League, Zug has found its way back to winning ways in the championship. The central Swiss threatened to slip away from the game in the final third. Fribourg-Gottéron came back after 2-0 thanks to two goals from Julien Sprunger and pressed on the actual lead. Two penalties against Freiburg’s Dave Sutter within three minutes of appearances took the wind out of their sails. Zug converted both majority situations into goals and made it 4:2. Because Marcus Sörensen (58th) brought the guests up again, the trembling was not over yet.
Lugano-ZSC Lions 2-1
The ZSC Lions slide deeper and deeper into the crisis. Coach Marc Crawford’s team lost against Lugano for the fifth time in a row. The misfortune in Ticino took its course after just over three minutes when Mark Arcobello netted the 1-0 for the home team. Marco Müller (34th) doubles for the Ticino in the middle third. The Lions were no longer capable of more than Juho Lammikko’s goal (38′). The Zurich are only one point above the 1st line.
Lausanne 5-0 SCL Tigers
The crisis-ridden Lausanne celebrated a single home win. In the basement duel against the SCL Tigers, the people of Vaud are ahead of one thanks to a double strike from Guillaume Maillard (10th) and Marco Pedretti (12th). In the middle section, the home team failed to make up for it despite the overwhelming superiority (21:5 shots on goal). Because the people of Vaud caught up on what they had missed in the final third and scored three more times, the usury of opportunities did not take revenge.
Ajoie – Rapperswil-Jona 1:4
For almost 50 minutes, the favorite Lakers bit their teeth when they played in Pruntrut. It was only in the 50th minute that Maxim Noreau made the decisive difference. After that, the resistance of the Jurassians was broken. Andrew Rowe (55th) and Yannick-Lennart Albrecht (58th) ensure the final away win. For the St. Gallen it was the third triumph in the third duel of the season.
Ambri-Piotta – Kloten 2:3
The results of the first two encounters with Kloten were 6:0 and 6:2 in favor of Ambri. The Ticino experienced first-hand that the promoted team has meanwhile blossomed into a serious league competitor. Although the Leventine came back twice after falling behind again, they couldn’t find an answer to Kloten’s Arttu Ruotsalainen’s opening goal (52′). Thanks to their 19th win of the season, the airport townspeople are now within three points of the first line.
