AES heads to Finland –
Neural DSP CEO Douglas Castro Will Keynote
The AES Europe Agreement performing for the first time in Finland. The event will take place on 13–15 May. Aalto University’s Dipoli conference center in Espoo, as part of the capital region. In 2023, the 154th Annual Congress of the International Audio Engineering Society will be held The club turns 75 years old.
The event will be held entirely in person in 2023; there are currently no virtual events or sessions scheduled.
Douglas Castro, CEO and founder of the Helsinki-based company, will be the main speaker of the meeting Neural DSP techniques. Neural DSP is known for its digital effects and related hardware used to emulate real guitar and bass amps using advanced signal processing and artificial intelligence technology. Castro is also the founder Darkglass electronics (acquired by Korg in 2022), which manufactures distortion pedals, amplifiers and cabinets for heavy rock bassists.

Social events planned for the conference include an archipelago cruise and the AES Student Party.
An early registration discount is available until March 20, 2023. Paper and session proposals will be accepted until February 17, 2023.
