Valeggio sul Mincio antiques and modern market
The Antiques and Modern Art Market of Valeggio sul Mincio was born in June 1994 and will take place Sunday 22 January in Piazza Carlo Alberto and in the adjacent streets. There are about one hundred exhibitors presenting high quality pieces and it is possible to choose between objects of various kinds, furniture and collectibles.

Peppa Pig at Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium
A Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium will start this Saturday, January 21, the new “underwater experience” made up of games and riddles to further bring visitors, especially the little ones, closer to the knowledge of the different marine environments, to respect for the environment and to understand the impact of man over nature. Special guest the nice mascot Peppa Pig which, for the occasion, moves from the Gardaland Park to the Sea Life aquarium.
“Man and the dream”, the Nicolis Museum celebrates its founder’s 90th birthday
On the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of its founder (January 19, 1933), the Nicolis Museum inaugurates a series of special activities dedicated to the public: from the free guided tour to discounts on admission tickets, a unique opportunity to discover the Museum and the history of Luciano Nicolisin an exhibition that traces the history of the automobile, technology and design of the twentieth century.
Ice skating rink in Verona
Verona hosts the large ice skating rink, set up in the tank of the former Arsenale for the Christmas period. The skating rink will remain in the city until Valentine’s Day. The cost of the ticket is 9 euros per hour, including skate rental.

The Marriage of Figaro
“The Marriage of Figaro” opens the 2023 opera season at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona on Sunday 22 January. Mozart’s masterpiece, a perfect combination of fun and depth, social and human comedy, returns to Verona in a new staging by Ivan Stefanutti with talented young voices conducted by Francesco Ommassini.

Saturday 21 January at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Colognola ai Colli the concert of the Harmony Gospel Singers. An event organized byassociation il Sorriso di Beatrice odv with the patronage of the Municipality of Colognola ai Colli. The Harmony Gospel Singers are a group of gospel singers and musicians founded and directed by Stefania Mauro, born in London, graduated from the Royal School of Music and a profound connoisseur of African-American church music. They are known throughout the country and are the Italian choir that has given the most concerts abroad, as demonstrated by the recent tours in various European countries.

“How much does my freedom cost”the concert at the Sala dei Centomila in Velo Veronese Friday 20 January. Maieutica Discs live at FuoriBinario

Duopoint zero
Duopoint zero is a musical project by Marco Meschino (piano) and Paola Arena (voice), which is proposed as a real human jukebox that responds to the requests of the public Saturday 21 January at Vecchia Rama in San Peretto di Negrar. The duo is in fact able to perform more than 500 songs between Italian and foreign classics and pop rock songs in an acoustic version with piano and voice, the ideal soundtrack for musical evenings.

Piero Dorazio, the new painting. Works 1963-1968
The exhibition dedicated to the Italian painter Peter Dorazioamong the greatest representatives of European abstract art, is scheduled in Verona from 18 December 2022 to 30 April 2023. Set up in the exhibition spaces of the Achille Forti Modern Art Gallery and the Galleria dello Scudo, the strictly scientific exhibition is centered on a selection of over thirty paintings from the artist’s heirs and from public and private collections.
Arpad Weisz – When racism enters the field
A Palazzo Barbieri the exhibition “Arpad Weisz – When racism enters the field” from 13 January to 4 February 2023. An exhibition on Arpad Weisz, a Hungarian Jew, former Olympic athlete and coach who gave a lot to Italian football. He coached Ambrosiana-Inter, a team with which he won the Scudetto in 1930, and from 1935 to 1938 he led the Bologna football team to win the Scudetto twice in a row and the prestigious Cup at the Paris Exposition Tournament in 1937.
The “Imagine” exhibition at the National Archaeological Museum of Verona
To the National Archaeological Museum of Verona a small but precious photographic exhibition dedicated to Roman Valpolicella, the result of a long planning process that saw the collaboration of the Municipalities of Valpolicella with the structures designed by the Ministry of Culture, first of all the Superintendency and the regional direction of the Veneto Museums. The show will be open until 31 March 2023 during museum opening hours (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
Cribs from around the world in Verona
Until Sunday 22 January 2023at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia, the 38th edition of the International Review of the Crib in art and tradition is hosted “Nativity scenes from around the world in Verona”. Rich display of cribs and works of art inspired by the theme of the Nativity, coming from museums, collections, crib masters and enthusiasts from all over the world.
Franzoia, Carlo Scarpa and the Castelvecchio Museum
In the Boggian room until March 26, 2023 a new exhibition to present to the public a special selection of the 1,600 drawings that the architect Ferruccio Franzoia, a pupil of Carlo Scarpa, donated to the Castelvecchio Museum.

Animals in the ancient world
From 25 October 2022 to 1 October 2023 a new exhibition itinerary on the importance of animals in history and visible art al Archaeological Museum at the Roman Theater of Verona with the exhibition “Animals in the Ancient World”. On display for the first time, in addition to the metal representations conserved at the MATR, are some important finds from the Roman Domus discovered during excavations in the former Astra cinema in via Oberdan. 130 small objects exhibited. From animals in ancient Egypt to those idealized in the classical world for their important role in mythology and religion.
“The breath of nature/AQUA” at the Modern Art Gallery in Verona
It is water, a source of life and at the same time a destructive and chaotic element, the protagonist of the new contemporary exhibition set up at the Achille Forti Modern Art Gallery in the space “Contemporary Non-Stop. The breath of nature/AQUA” edited by Patrizia Nuzzo. The exhibition will be visible to the public from 28 October 2022 until October 2023.
Outside, in the land of man
Made in collaboration with Urbs Picta on the occasion of the 17th edition of ArtVerona, the exhibition “Out in the land of man”from 14 October 2022 to 23 January 2023, two important historical collections incorporated after more than ten years, that of the Cariverona Foundation and that of the UniCredit group, presented through the lens of the artist-curator Pietro Ruffo.
