It is far from the Rock, in Paris, that Pauline Ducruet has put down her suitcases for the time to present her baby: the brand new collection, Onirica, from Alter, the fashion label she created in 2018. Not a little proud of ‘unveil the products, it is in a transparent look that the daughter of Stéphanie of Monaco is displayed for the occasion.
Being from a main family brings advantages. As numerous as they are, they do not prevent the most ambitious children from going to the end of their projects and succeeding in them. Pauline Ducruet, fruit of the love of Stéphanie de Monaco and Daniel Ducruet is the perfect example. The young woman is, at only 28 years old, at the head of her own clothing brand, which she called Alter Designs. Almost five years after the launch, Pauline continues on her road to success.
This Wednesday, January 18, she presented the 2023 collection in the capital. A show was also waiting for the princess of the project. Pauline Ducruet, well wrapped up and quite proud to release this new baby, appeared dressed all in black. Big boots on her feet, she had broken this grunge look with a long satiny skirt and a very noticeable transparent and shiny sweatshirt. On social networks (see our ), Maxime Giaccardi’s company could not help but smile, proud and radiant, finally releasing this project that it had been maturing for many months.
Pauline Ducruet, ecology above all
Since she launched her brand, Pauline Ducruet has set herself a goal: to prove that fashion is not incompatible with respect for the environment. In 2020, the cousin of Gabriella and Jacques, 8-year-old twins of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, led a masterclass on sustainable and nature-friendly production. Nature from which she was largely inspired for this new collection.
During an interview with , Pauline Ducruet looked at the basics of the new pieces presented: “For the Onirica collection, we imagined a sort of virtual nature, a dreamlike desert and an alternative reality inspired by geological strata and the traces of time. For the colors, we looked at everything related to mineral nature, such as terracotta or ochre. In terms of the cuts of the clothes, we stuck to our iconic ones, namely oversized suits and shirts, with special work on materials and textures to keep this idea of layers..” A work already applauded by the fashion world!
