A snowfall in the Hautes-Pyrénées
The Meteorological Institute announces a ” episode of snow tonight and next night in the Pyrenean departments with significant accumulations mainly in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Hautes-Pyrénées”.
Snowstorms in Haute-Garonne
Episodes of snowy weather are also expected for the next 24 hours in Haute-Garonne.
They first affect the south of the department. An episode has been ongoing since 3:30 p.m. and should last until 7 p.m. and affects the entire A64. The Haute-Garonnaise prefecture warns of snowfall up to 300 meters altitude. A second episode of snowfall is expected between midnight and four in the morning up to 200 meters above sea level.
Two snowy episodes are also planned in the east of the Haute-Garonne department and on the A66-A61 (Toulouse-Foix). A first between 6 p.m. and midnight. And a second between three and six in the morning. But this last episode should have little impact on the A66 and the A6 because the snow should not stick to the ground.
Snow in the rest of Occitania
An episode of snow expected in the southwest of France between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, according to The Weather Channel. It should notably pass through Ariège, Aude and Tarn.
⚠️❄️ Be careful between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning with a new episode of #snow expected this time in the south-west of France. It will snow at very low altitude, even down to the plain, between the #Limousinthe #Dordogne and the Pyrenean foothills. pic.twitter.com/IXtS8frXd9
