“My Blood for Others”
Among the pillars of this operation is the unbreakable Rotary. But Toulouse FC, renamed Toulouse Football Coeur for the occasion, is also part of the party. He “dedicates his month of January to the French Blood Establishment and encourages the operation”My Blood For Others‘”.
“Every day, 1000 donations are needed in our region. January is a particularly tense period: winter viruses, weather conditions … the EFS traditionally observes a significant drop in the frequency of blood collections at this period, which leads to a drop in reserves, already weakened by the end-of-year celebrations.
A little less than a year ago, early February 2022the French Blood Establishment (EFS) then sounded the alarm bell by explaining than the blood reserves were at their lowest. One week of the collection, he explains to Actu Toulouse that the stocks « go back step by step. In the presence 3,000 donors for the four days of collection in Toulouse”.
A record collection in Lauragais
Please note that on Wednesday January 4, 2023, a new record blood donation was beaten in Caramanin the Lauragais, during the first collection of the year. The local association of blood donors and the EFS oversee this operation.
