SD Hereditary Prince Alois von und zu Liechtenstein and Prime Minister Daniel Risch at the WEF in Davos
The World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos is taking place for the 53rd time this year and has the motto “Cooperation in a fragmented world”. This year’s WEF thus refers to the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Ukraine war as well as their serious effects on politics, the economy and society.
HSH Hereditary Prince Alois von und zu Liechtenstein and Prime Minister Daniel Risch use the WEF to maintain the international network and to receive additional impulses from the varied program. They exchanged views with Klaus Schwab, the President of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyen, several Federal Councilors as well as politicians and entrepreneurs and used their participation for bilateral meetings. At the invitation of Klaus Schwab, SD the Hereditary Prince and the Head of Government will take part in the traditional dinner for heads of state and government on Tuesday 17 January.
WEF founder Klaus Schwab mentioned that the world is at a critical turning point, which shows current systemic crises and geopolitical risks. At this year’s WEF, the levers for overcoming the current challenges are to be analyzed and the associated system-changing benchmarks discussed. This includes, among other things, combating the current energy and food crises, combating high inflation and current social vulnerabilities.
