Salzburg/ Ainring: Cross-border cooperation brings success
Thanks to the professional cooperation between officers from the Maxglan Police Inspectorate and the Freilassing Police Inspectorate, a great search success was achieved.
The message in full:
Salzburg/Ainring – A 69-year-old from Salzburg reported to the Salzburg police station in Maxglan high-quality pedelec worth around 4000 euros as stolen. The pedelec from an Austrian start-up company not only has a frame made of eye-catching wood, but is also equipped with the latest technology. The company is among other things possible to see the exact location in real timewithout the pedelec owner having to retrofit anything.
The GPS tracker is also installed so small and inconspicuously that it cannot be removed by thieves. The official who took the charge did not hesitate and contacted the manufacturer, who was able to transmit the exact position of the stolen pedelec to the meter.
And now came the officers of the Freilassing Police Inspectorate came into play: The localization gave a result at the Ainringer train station. The police officers were able to quickly discover, identify and secure the conspicuous bicycle in order to be able to hand it over to the injured party after consultation with the public prosecutor’s office. However, the whole thing has a small drop of bitterness: A Suspect could not be identifiedsince observation measures came to nothing.
This case shows once again clearly that There is also excellent and uncomplicated cooperation across bordersto uncover, among other things, writing criminal offenses and to protect personal legal interests.
