Gang leaders shot in Oslo – hunting perpetrators in the MC environment – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country
It was the night of Sunday that two people stayed shot at the Nationaltheatret in central Oslo.
According to NRK, the two men in their 30s and 40s are leaders in the criminal gang Young Guns.
Three people have been charged in the case, but only one of them has been arrested.
This is confirmed by police inspector Grete Metlid to NRK on Sunday evening.
– We are close to this matter and are using large resources. I hope that the two accused contact the police.
Investigates conflict
The police are reluctant to comment on the case. According to what NRK is informed, it is still uncertain what the background is for the shooting, but so far there is nothing in the investigation to indicate that the shooting was planned.
– We are concerned that there will be no escalation of a conflict as a result of the shooting. Now the police are handling this case, says Metlid.
Both of the two men who have been shot have previously been convicted a number of times for serious matters.
Both have also been involved in previous shooting incidents.
– My client is injured and is in hospital. I do not wish to comment on the case beyond this, says lawyer Thomas Klevenberg. He has been appointed as legal counsel for the man in his 30s.
International MC club
According to what NRK learns, several of the accused have a connection to the MC club Satudarah.
The international MC club has branches all over the world and is described as a so-called so-called 1% club.
The club, which originated in the Netherlands, is notorious for, among other things, drug activity and violence.
On Sunday, the lawyer for the arrested man, Marius Ihlebæk, informs that his client does not want to be questioned by the police.
Ihlebæk will not go into why he does not want to talk to the police.
– But there will be no questioning tonight, he adds.
Ihlebæk previously told NRK that his client does not understand that he has been arrested by the police.
Shot on open street
The shooting took place outside on Klingenberggata, just a couple of minutes away from the Karl Johan shopping street.
Police Inspector Metlid stated earlier on Sunday that the conflict appears to have started at a pub in Klingenberggata.
On Sunday evening, she tells Dagbladet that the two victims must have been at a birthday party.
– There were shots in the open street. Presumably this started inside a bar, before it moved out into the street environment, where shots were fired, with task leader Magnus Strande.
Operations leader Alexander Østerhaug referred to the shooting as a “targeted attack”.
– All the information we have so far indicates that this was a targeted attack, and we are working on the basis that there is a conflict in a criminal environment.
