Toulouse. InfoSup: a student lounge to orient oneself or to dream?
The InfoSup show is being held at the Meett until tonight, Saturday January 14th. The opportunity for thousands of high school students to come and find their way and discover the job of their dreams.
Influencer, content creator, youtuber, these new professions are all the rage on social networks. But probably, they are not those who hold the most to the Info Sup show in Toulouse. Qualified as “superficial” and “a fad” by young people from Toulouse, it was to discover more traditional activities that they made the trip this Friday.
“In my opinion, trade and marketing are the professions that attract the most”, explains William, 17 years old. “These are professions of the future with important products. They are the essence of all businesses,” adds Laura, 17. Sensible young people dream of wage stability rather than the carelessness of a fashionable job. Indeed, “business and marketing schools are at the top of research every year. Many of our students do not know which profession to turn to but choose a general training in commerce”, explains Cindy, speaker at Toulouse Business School.
Beyond traditional trades
The majority of high school students interviewed are nevertheless aware of the evolution of professions. More atypical fields tempt some of them, like William: “I would like to work in the social sciences. We are in a time when understanding the world and people is important. I would dream of advancing mentalities in this area”. In this surge of justice, Mélissa, 16, would like to venture into special education. In an unstable, constantly changing world, young people are finally turning to more loyal fields, such as young vigilantes.
