ACT launches “Working in Portugal” guide in seven languages ⋆ RÁDIO ALTO AVE
The Authority for Working Conditions (ACT) launched the guide “Working in Portugal”, aimed at foreign workers in the national territory. Available in seven languages (Portuguese, English, Bengali, Hindi, nepali, mandarin and Ukrainian), the digital guide aims to make known the rights and duties of foreign workers in Portugal.
Equality and non-identifiable, employment contract, payment of salary and other remuneration, working hours, rest time, absences, training, parenting, Safety and Health at Work, insurance against accidents at work and enrollment in Social Security are the main topics thought of this guide.
“With these guides, we intend to help and provide a faster and more controlled adaptation to everyone when they arrive in our country to work and who, essentially, are looking for better living conditions for themselves and their families. Ensuring that we have dignified working conditions is ACT’s strongest contribution to an increasingly open and global world of work.”, said Fernanda Campos, Inspector General of ACT.
The guide is available for consultation at place of the ACT.
