The Bosniak Institute awarded the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia a golden badge
The Bosniak Institute – The Adil Zulfikarpašić Foundation today presented the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, with the Golden Plaque of the Bosniak Institute for the year 2022, which is awarded to deserving individuals for their contribution to science, culture and the general well-being of BiH society.
While expressing her gratitude, Fajonova emphasized that she is honored by the award, which she sees above all as a recognition of Slovenia, which has always supported Bosnia and Herzegovina and its people in achieving their goals on the way to a better future.
“We always say that our relations are traditionally friendly and good, and that there are no open questions, and this is not just an established diplomatic phrase. This is a solid basis for our cooperation,” said Fajonova.
She recalled that last year she celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that during this time intensive and extensive cooperation developed in practically all areas. She emphasized that today it is important to think about the future and that the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire region of the Western Balkans is in the EU.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute, Fehim Škaljić, handed over the gold medal to Tanja Fajon and said that the decision to award the medal was made on the basis of her outstanding contribution to the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its interests, history, culture and art, as well as her help in presenting the comprehensive heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina as European heritage.
