EHLERANGE – The Hereditary Grand Duke explained this Thursday the third and final extension of the House of BioHealth. The structure will have cost 60 million euros and houses around 450 employees.
The Maison de la BioSanté (HoBH) is now complete. The third and last extension of the structure was carried out this Thursday by the Hereditary Grand Duke, with, among others, the LSAP Ministers of Health Paulette Lenert and of the Economy Franz Fayot. The HoBH, born of a collaboration between the Ministry of the Economy, private investors and the ZARE (Regional economic activity zone in Ehelrange), the HoBH hosts innovative companies in the fields of biotechnology and digital technologies of health.
The HoBH provides companies with surfaces that can easily become laboratories and allows them to be quickly operational. The investment of 60 million euros made it possible to create a total area of 15,000 m², including 9,500 m² of laboratories and 5,500 m² of offices.
The first two buildings built in 2015 and 2016 house companies, especially start-ups, in the health technology sector. In all, 450 employees are already working there. The extension taken on Thursday has already found a tenant, since B Medical Systems has been part of its intention to install additional offices. Discussions with other Luxembourg companies are underway, says the Ministry of the Economy.
