FC Red Bull Salzburg has prematurely extended the contract with Amar Dedic until June 30, 2027. The 20-year-old Bosnian was in the one of the Red Bulls’ climbers last fall season. The defensive player made 20 appearances for the Red Bulls in the autumn and was a permanent fixture in Matthias Jaissle’s team in all competitions.
About the Academy
Dedic moved to Salzburg in 2015 and went through all levels of the Red Bull Academy (three championship titles). A total of 50 appearances at FC Liefering was followed by a one-year loan to RZ Pellets WAC before he returned to the series champion in the summer.
Testify
Sports director Christoph Freund: “Amar did his football training at our academy and developed tremendously there. He was able to show that during his loan in Wolfsberg last season. He has played an outstanding autumn season with us, played the full time in all six Champions League games and has made the leap to a consistently high level. Not only does he have exceptionally good technical skills, he is also in top physical condition. I am very pleased that we were able to extend him to the long term, as I am convinced that a lot will come in the next few years with his qualifications and his attitude.”
Amar Dedic: “I’m very happy about the trust the club has in me and I’m proud that my contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg has been extended. The decisive factor for this was certainly the last six months, which I find difficult to describe. Not only the appearances in the Champions League were an absolute highlight for me, I’m also happy that I acted very consistently in the championship and remained injury-free. All of this is an incentive for me to keep working hard so that the successful autumn can be followed by an equally successful spring.”
