Transportation from the USA is restricted by the Dutch military and its target is Poland and Lithuaniaa. A communication from the Dutch Ministry of Defense says about 1275 elements, which he more or less uses.
– These are M1 tanks (Abrams), Bradley combat vehicles and Paladin self-propelled howitzers Major Paul Ehrismann of the Dutch army told reporters. The equipment is to remain on NATO’s eastern flank for at least nine months; currently it will be transported there by rail and road.
Part of the port in Vlissingen has been militarized for the time of unloading and the whole area is protected by Dutch soldiers. There are dogs on site to sniff cars and divers use underwater to see if there is any effective activity there.
“The Netherlands often enters through NATO as a transit country,” emphasizes Ehrismann. He points out that his country has a good orientation and location.
