The Secretary of State for Tourism Federico Pedini Amati and the consultant of the Secretariat of State for Tourism Stefano Moroncelli, participated this morning in a meeting, via video conference, with the technicians of the European Travel Commission to complete the agreement which will allow to the Republic of San Marino as beneficiaries of the funds made available by the European Commission for the cooperation program in support of promotional tourist campaigns. The Secretariat of State for Tourism of the Republic of San Marino, after being able to access the funds of the “Horizon Project” for the synergistic promotion of the territories less than a year ago, this year will be able to be among the beneficiaries of the funds of the program “Co-Op” for investment in communication and promotion campaigns aimed at strengthening consumer confidence in travel and tourism to and around Europe by increasing awareness of travel experiences in lesser-known places. The signing of the agreement will arrive on January 25th and will guarantee the projects a loan of 330,000 euros, of which 160,000 euros non-repayable. The “Tourism Sector” of the Marche Region and “APT Servizi” of the Emilia Romagna Region, partners of the Republic of San Marino in the project of the Territorial Tourist Table that gave birth to The Lovely Places, will also participate in the project with a contribution of 50,000 euros.
Federico Pedini Amati (Secretary of State for Tourism): “After the first historic European funding for tourism promotion projects, we have managed to re-enter, once again, a project of the European Travel Commission, we will sign a brief agreement that will guarantee us funds for tourism promotion. I think it is an important result which in less than a year has brought over half a million euros towards our projects and which allows us to be able to invest in a high-level communication campaign thanks to funds that come from the European Commission, an economic resource on the which we would never have been able to count on if we hadn’t participated in tenders that today could also be sought in other sectors”.
