FC Bayern Munich open to player swaps
FC Bayern Munich has targeted a Portuguese player and apparently offers its own attacking star in exchange.
Munich – The FC Bayern Munich must be on the transfer market in winter, although that wasn’t actually the plan. With the transfer offensive in the summer, Hasan Salihamidzic wanted to play the entire 2022/23 season with the existing squad, but forced the sports director to act. Daley Blind comes on the defensive after Lucas Hernandez will not play another game this season due to a cruciate ligament rupture and new signing Noussair Mazraoui will also be missing from the German record champions for several weeks.
FC Bayern Munich interested in Leao
Manuel Neuer, who was seriously injured while skiing, will also have to be replaced in winter. Alexander Nübel, who is loaned to AS Monaco, will probably not come back. The favorite is currently Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach, whose contract expires after the current season and who can obviously imagine an immediate move to Bayern Munich. The two clubs have not yet agreed on a transfer of the keeper.
Hasan Salihamidzic not only has to land the new replacement, there should also be another center forward in the FC Bayern Munich squad for the coming season. While Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane remains the preferred solution for Lewandowski’s successor, it’s unclear whether the England international really wants to move to the Bundesliga. Like the Italian portal Calciomercato reported, the German record champion has an alternative in mind: Rafael Leao from AC Milan.
FC Bayern Munich: Exchange with AC Milan?
The Portuguese is having an outstanding season and is one of the top scorers in Serie A with seven goals and six assists in 16 games. His market value is currently 85 million euros, a transfer would be a major financial challenge for FC Bayern Munich. According to information from the Italian portal Calciomercato would FCB be willing to include Kingsley Coman in the deal. The Frenchman has a market value of 60 million euros, which would significantly reduce the transfer fee still to be paid for Leao.
Meanwhile, FC Bayern has apparently missed the next opportunity, a high profile striker too alone. Because Joao Felix will not end up in Germany. (smr)
