Unemployment rate at 1.4 percent in December – Liechtenstein
At the end of December, 283 unemployed were registered with the Liechtenstein Labor Market Service (AMS FL), 15 more than in the previous month, as the AMS FL announced on Monday. The unemployment rate thus increased slightly, from 1.3 percent in November 2022 to 1.4 percent in the reporting month. Compared to the same month last year, unemployment fell by 24 people (-7.8%). The unemployment rate fell by 0.1 percentage points compared to the same month last year.

Youth unemployment (15 to 24 year olds) fell by 8 people (-25%) to 24. Compared to the same month last year, this corresponds to a decrease of 9 people (-27.3%). The youth unemployment rate is 1.1 percent (previous month 1.5%). Compared to the same month last year, this decreased by 0.5 percentage points.
Other age groups
In the 25-49 age group, unemployment increases by 12 people (+7.5%). This corresponds to a rate of 1.6 percent (previous month 1.5%).
In the 50+ age group, unemployment increased by 11 people (+14.3%) to 88. This corresponds to a rate of 1.1 percent (previous month 1%).

At the end of December, 42 people were working in the interim service. Compared to the previous month, this uniform number remains. Compared to the same month last year, this corresponds to an increase of 45 people (-51.7%). Interim earnings are any income from self-employment or employment, which also means that the receipt of daily unemployment benefits is suspended or reduced.
Dynamics of arrivals and departures at the AMS FL
The number of arrivals at the AMS FL in the reporting month is 65 people. This corresponds to 12 people (+22.6%) more than in the previous month. The number of departures is believed to be 47 people. That is 7 people (-13%) fewer than in the previous month.

The number of vacancies reported to the AMS FL is 878 compared to 881 in the previous month (-0.3%). Compared to the same month last year, 14 jobs (-1.6%) fewer were reported.
