Left-back who passed through Estoril and Sporting is without a club and willing to analyze proposals
Jefferson is back in Portugal, after a year and a half in Brazil, and is looking to relaunch a career that, in our country, had stops at Estoril, Sporting, Sp. Braga and Casa Pia, in the latter case, in the 2nd League. The left-back accounts for almost two hundred matches in the top echelon of Portuguese football, having contributed mainly with assists – 42 in total. Asked by Record about the reasons that made him return to Portugal, the 34-year-old Brazilian footballer is honest. “I have a home in Portugal and I really like the country, especially because of football. I hope that a club can present me with an interesting project and that I can return to play to help the team with what I know best: always giving my best and contributing with lots of assists”, sums up the winger that Sporting de Leonardo Jardim (2013/14) signed from Estoril. In Alvalade, he was close to becoming national champion in 2015/16 and won two Portuguese Cups, a League Cup and a Super Cup.
