The Chinese Lunar New Year for 2023, or the Spring Festival, falls on January 22.
VALLETTA, January 8 (Xinhua) — The fourth “Happy Chinese New Year” film festival started on Saturday evening with the Chinese film “The Bravest” at the Malta National Center for Creativity in the City of Valletta.
Maltese audiences will have the opportunity to see four other Chinese films “The Climbers”, “Looking Up”, “The Wandering Earth” and “The Captain” during the film festival, which will last until the 24 of January.
Chinese film production has become more and more sophisticated in recent years, and its subjects and themes have been becoming more diversified, Aida Daoud Bushra told Xinhua after watching the film, adding that she loves Chinese culture very much and hopes to watch more Chinese movies in the future.
Fiona Vella said that she was happy to see the beautiful Chinese films on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. These films have brought an interesting Chinese cultural experience to Maltese audiences, who have the opportunity to enjoy the unique charm of Chinese culture and art, she said.
