Series of burglaries in Liechtenstein (FL) – Police.news
In Liechtenstein, from Thursday (Jan. 5) to Sunday (Jan. 8), 5 burglaries occurred in residential buildings in Balzers and Triesen. The crime and the damage to property cannot yet be quantified.
On Thursday (January 5th), an unknown group of perpetrators smashed a window in the Lowal in Balzers with a found stone and thus gained access to the semi-detached house. All the rooms were then searched and various valuables stolen.
On the same day, an unknown perpetrator broke into an unoccupied single-family house in Triesen by climbing over a balcony and using physical force to open a window. All rooms were searched and the property was finally left via the entrance path. There was financial and property damage in an as yet unknown amount.
On Friday (January 6th) a homeowner from Triesen reported that when he got home he had noticed a burglary in his house. He does not dare to go upstairs and is looking for support from the state police. As the police were able to determine, the unknown perpetrators had already left the house via the previously broken patio door. Again, all were initially searched. The financial loss has not yet been quantified.
On Saturday (January 7th) the state police was again reported a burglary in Triesen. Once again, the perpetrators got into the house through a window on the ground floor. This searched the immediate, broke into two cash registers and stole cash and a necklace. The financial and property damage amounts to several thousand francs.
In the night from Saturday to Sunday (January 8th), residents of a single-family home in Triesen reported that their home had been broken into and two safes had been stolen. The perpetrators got into the house through a window in the basement, which had previously been smashed with an unknown object. Here, too, all the rooms were searched, and a safe had been ripped out of the wall with considerable force. The perpetrators probably left the building with the two unopened safes on the entry way.
Persons who have found suspicious persons or vehicles in the areas of Lawenastrasse, Saxweg, Bofel or Landstrasse in Triesen are asked to contact the state police on +423/236 71 11 or [email protected].
