39 Schaan “kings” collect 22,500 francs – Liechtenstein
SCHAAN – There were fewer carol singers than usual in Schaan, but this year’s campaign raised 22,500 francs, as chaplain Herbert Graf announced.
The carol singers’ campaign was initially not under such a good star, since too few carol singers have registered for the large community area, as stated in the message from the parish of Schaan. Every day brought new surprises – flexibility and organizational skills were required. “Some children were absent due to illness, others simply didn’t come, others came at short notice or spontaneously ran along several times,” says Kaplan Herbert Graf. “In the end, 39 energetic carol singers were out and about in Schaan, who achieved a great result of 22,500 francs over the four afternoons.”
According to the announcement, the money will benefit Mary’s Meals Switzerland and the “Legacy of Hope” project.
It was very gratifying that many accompanying persons contacted us this year, but we had to cancel some of them due to the number of groups, says the Schaan chaplain.
“All in all, it was a successful campaign, in which the children outdid themselves and showed perseverance, as well as perseverance,” says a happy Herbert Graf. “Schaan can be really proud of its few but highly motivated carol singers.”
He sincerely thanks all donors, the children, their companions and especially the organization team for the good cooperation – an “eternal blessings of God”.
“For the coming year it would be nice if more children would sign up for carol singing again,” says chaplain Herbert Graf.
