Successful ORF-2 premiere: “Die Toten von Salzburg – Schattenspiel” with up to 819,000 viewers
Best single cabaret since 2000 for Monika Gruber’s “Too true to be beautiful” on ORF 1
Vienna (OTS) – Up to 819,000 viewers were there when Michael Fitz, Fanny Krausz and Erwin Steinhauer dissolved the latest autumn about “Die Toten von Salzburg” on ORF 2 yesterday, Friday, January 6, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. On average, “Schattenspiel” (director: Erhard Riedlsperger; screenplay: Maria Hinterkörner), the ninth part of the ORF/ZDF hit crime series, achieved a record number of 791,000 viewers since the sixth part in January 2021. The market share was 28 percent. “Die Toten von Salzburg” is a Satel Film production in cooperation with ORF and ZDF, funded by the Austrian Television Fund, the State of Salzburg and the City of Salzburg.
Monika Gruber’s “Too true to be beautiful” with up to 704,000 viewers also achieved a top rating yesterday on ORF 1’s main evening. On average, 648,000 attended – that’s the record for a single cabaret since 2000. The market share was 23 percent. The cabaret program was also popular with younger audiences, at 24 percent (12-49) and 25 percent (12-29).
