Epiphany 2023, here are the appointments organized in San Marino
Epiphany is celebrated on January 6, “which takes away all the holidays”. On this particular day there are many events organized in the Republic of San Marino.
The Befana from Heaven
Historic appointment organized by the San Marino Aeroclub at the airfield of Torracciain the Castle of Domagnano. Starting from 10.00 a breakfast of hot chocolate, panettone, pandoro and mulled wine is offered for parents, while children can play with the entertainers, do make-up for children and take a few “selfies” on board the ACS airplanes.
at 11:30 then the Befana will land to distribute the traditional candies to all the children.
Epiphany… of Wonders
In the historic center of City of San Marino Christmas of Wonders celebrates theEpiphany with The Dancing Fairies – Traveling parade. Fairy tale characters will leave at 15.00 from the Toy Factory to Campo Bruno Reffi to parade in the Historic Center and entertain and greet all the people present. The ice queens, accompanied by dancing fairies and juggling gnomes, will present a real traveling show with small performances in the most iconic and evocative locations, dedicated to the fantasy world of the little ones but which also fascinates adults so much. Naturally, the character of the day will not be missing, the Befana, who will be present at the Toy Factory.
Bingo in Faetano
In the Castle of Faetano the Giunta di Castello organizes, in the parish hall next to the church, the traditional tombola with rich prizes and lots of fun. at 3.30pm the blessing of the children is foreseen, the games will begin at 16.00.
Befana in the square in Cailungo
From 2.30pm in square A Cailungo here comes the “Befana Laboriosa” organized by the Cailungo Polisportiva Association, with the collaboration of the residents and thanks to the welcome patronage of the Giunta di Castello di Borgo Maggiore.
The Befana’s helpers will involve girls and boys in fun creative workshops while awaiting the arrival of the “old lady”, who will distribute bags of sweets to everyone present.
Mulled wine, hot tea, drinks, donuts, sweets, even gluten-free, for everyone.
Traveling exhibition on emigration to France
At 18.00 in Piazza Tini l’Alliance Francaise of San Marino, in collaboration with the National Museum of the History of Immigration in Paris, inaugurates the traveling exhibition “Ciao Italia! “which traces a century of Italian immigration and culture in France.
The exhibition will be introduced by Jérome Cazenave, a graduate in contemporary social history and linguistic expert at the University of Urbino.
