The public prosecutor’s office has brought charges against a 34-year-old in the Cologne-Zollstock abuse complex. He is said to have abused children as a babysitter and caretaker. A new crime scene was also announced.
At the beginning of June of the year the police had the man in his apartment in Cologne-Folder arrested. Only a short time before, a parent had reported to the police – with the concrete suspicion that the daughter could have been sexually abused.
Extensive investigations were immediately launched at police headquarters. The experienced officers searched the man’s apartment. The focus was on data carriers on which videos and photos are stored.

According to the indictment, the man is said to have committed 37 acts. It is about the possession and production of child pornography material, serious sexualized violence against children and rape.
The children, 15 girls and seven boys, are said to have been between one and a half and seven years old.
Defendant had also written as a supervisor
The man had offered to be a babysitter via an Internet platform. But he is also said to have worked in a facility that operates several daycare centers in Cologne.
The public prosecutor’s office lists his own apartment as crime scenes, as well as the apartments in which he was active as a babysitter, a holiday home for his family, at least one daycare center in Cologne and, according to new findings, also probably a parents’ initiative.
There is still no date for the trial before the second major criminal chamber of the Cologne district court. But it is already clear that the public prosecutor wants to apply for preventive detention for the 34-year-old.
