Health center for children and youth from two districts of the district
The Environmental Mental Health Center for Children and Youth Krakow-Południe covers the activities of young residents of the District district – Podgórze Duchackie and Podgórze, the facility informed PAP.
“After detailed activities and expenses and consultations with partners – MOPS and the City of Krakow, Szpital Kliniczny im. Dr. Józef Babiński in Krakow, thanks to the expansion of its activities to two further districts of a separate part of Krakow – Podgórze Duchackie and Podgórze. Expanding the activity, which will take place within the existing software” – explained the spokesman for J. Babiński, Maciej Bóbr.
The effect of the services operating from September 2021, the center was used by children and youth from the following districts: Dębniki, Borek Fałęcki, Łagiewniki, Swoszowice. The facility offers free support – consultations and therapies – also for families and carers of members.
Support can apply to any person living in these districts up to 18 and up to 21 – if it goes beyond the school class. In 2021, seven such units were launched in Poland. They are financed from European funds under the POWER program. The Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy allocated over PLN 13 million for the operation of the Krakow center until September 2023.
