Michel Polnareff blocked by Anne Hidalgo on Twitter? The city of Paris denies, the singer is surprised
Michel Polnareff has caused controversy by attacking the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, on Twitter. She would have blocked the singer from her contacts.
“Very surprised by this reaction.” In a message published Tuesday on his Twitter accountsinger Michel Polnareff said he was surprised to find he was blocked by the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo.
“You were never blocked”
With a capture of the account of the mayor of Paris, Michel Polnareff thus indicates that Anne Hidalgo would have blocked the singer making it impossible for him to see his tweets or send him a message.
“Perhaps she is angry with me for having created ‘Letter to France’ and not ‘Letter to Paris'”, he says in a humorous line also translated into Spanish following his tweet.
Faced with the reactions provoked by this message on the social network, less than 24 hours later, the press and communication adviser to the mayor of Paris replied to Michel Polnareff.
“Hello dear Michel, after verification you have never been blocked. I wish you a happy new year”, writes Barthelemy Bolo, on Twitter.
The singer quickly reacted to this assertion by posting the image of a woman who writes “Ah good”. In one another tweetMichel Polnareff explains that this blocking might have taken place in a “preventive” way, without further explanation.
Absent from the stage since 2016, Michel Polnareff is starting a new tour this year in France and Switzerland. He also released a piano-voice album featuring his greatest hits, including the title “Lettre à France”.
