Europe opens on positive ground and Portugal follows the trend
ÇAt around 8:10 am, the EuroStoxx 600 rose 0.63% and the Paris Stock Exchange (CAC 40) led the winners in Europe, advancing 1.04%.
The Frankfurt (DAX) and Madrid (IBEX 35) stock exchanges gained 0.72% and 0.73%, respectively.
The London market (FTSE 100) continued on positive ground, up 0.16%, while the Milan stock exchange (FTSE MIB) rose 0.46%.
In Portugal, the PSI increased by 0.16% to 5,839.07 points.
The market’s North American shareholders ended the day before in a low, influenced by the receipt of the margin and by the rises in interest rates.
This afternoon the minutes of the last meeting of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will be known, although investors are already anxiously awaiting the release of the US labor market report scheduled for Friday.
In Europe, investors await the release of the eurozone services PMI today. In the United States, the industry PMI will be released.
The main Asian markets ended today with widespread gains, with the exception of Tokyo’s Nikkei, which retreated 1.45% after several days closed due to the festive season.
The price of a barrel of Brent crude, which is a benchmark for Europe, fell 0.66% to $81.51.
