We will stop corruption foundation launched a website, which documents the most famous corruption cases in Slovakia. The goal is to help people find out what this case is about and in what state it is.
“Our goal was to summarize a large number of cases and help the public to orient themselves in them on the basis of publicized and public information,” explains Martin Suchý from the foundation. The authors set themselves the goal of documenting corruption cases since the creation of the Slovak Republic, they will gradually increase on the web.
There are currently more than 50 pieces featuring more than 100 people on the kauzy.sk website. Visitors can find information on how many cases public figures or influential persons are involved in. How many accusations, lawsuits, in which cases have they been legally convicted or, on the contrary, acquitted?
“Information about individual persons and the status of their criminal proceedings reflects the current status of these criminal proceedings as of the date of publication of the list and contains statements and information about witnesses or law enforcement authorities. By publishing the list, the Stop Corruption Foundation does not interfere with the rights of persons from individual cases to be presumed innocent,” added Suchý.
