Spalletti prepares the wax caps, protect Napoli from Saviano and the others to come
The club stays away from the self-defeating controversies of ultimara football pundits. Conspiracy can only harm the team

The reference must be Ulysses and his passage in front of the island of the sirens (which would later be Capri). To resist the bewitching song of the fascinating and dangerous creatures, Ulysses – listening to Circe’s advice – had himself tied to the mast of the ship and gave wax plugs to the crew so that they would not fall victim to the spell. He instructed his men not to pay attention to his gestures, desperately he would try to get free. But they should have gone straight. However, Ulysses wanted to listen to that irresistible song and, as expected, he squirmed and begged to be released. Fortunately for him in vain. Circe’s advice proved invaluable. Rounding the island, Ulysses and his friends saw the remains of the bones of the sailors who could not resist the spell.
Spalletti do like Ulysses, prepare the wax caps for Napoli. We had no doubts: the atmosphere of November was immediately recreated, with an endless series of disputes over the arbitrages. This time Roberto Saviano also took part in the Gazzetta who rekindled the conspiratorial climate – if ever there was need – and raised the alarm for the north wind which could blow in a stubborn and contrary direction to Naples. Melodious words for the great mass of fans who see international and planetary plots everywhere to prevent Napoli from winning the championship. It is hard to accept for many Neapolitans, yet Libero is absolutely right on Saviano: it’s bar talk. Maybe they bring further consensus on a personal level, they certainly don’t help the club. The point is that Napoli are first in the standings today, taking care of Napoli attracts attention and therefore between now and the next few months we will come across many incursions into Calcio Napoli.
Incursions that do not bring anything good. Napoli should avoid this conspiracy current like the plague. It will be impossible, we fear. We write it: if Napoli had been in Valle d’Aosta, they would have already won. Naples, on the other hand, is a land of conquest, everyone arrives and feels the duty to leave their mark on a story that does not belong to them. This Naples is first in the standings because it is distant from Naples, profoundly distant from the mood and chatter of the square, with intellectuals or presumed intellectuals in the lead. It is the Naples built while De Laurentiis could not be seen in public (at the time the intellectuals were silent, indeed they were with the A16). While the club was setting up one of the most extraordinary signing campaigns in our football, the fans asked for his and Giuntoli’s head, they wanted him in Bari: on the A16, precisely. Spalletti had already been given the sack with an ignoble banner on the stolen Panda. On Kim, one of the best signings in the history of the club, a minor irony was made by recalling the pack of cigarettes. Now Saviano is also taking part, and others will come. Maybe to complain about the designation of the referee Sozza.
Those who care about the fate of Naples, stay away from all this. Feeding the conspiracy can only damage the club and the team. It helps to fuel tension and create an unsustainable climate in which, historically, Napoli cannot breathe. We are certain that in Castel Volturno they know all this perfectly. Let’s hope that’s enough. It is keeping in check an environment wholly unused to winning and competing to win. If then new external agents are also introduced, the situation becomes unsustainable.
