Renault Group increases its investments in Turkey
Production of new Mitsubishi Colt cars will start in September at Oyak Renault factories in Bursa. At the first stage, approximately 40 thousand cars will be produced annually and will be directed to export markets. Aiming to explain the new mission and models of the Oyak Renault factory in March, Renault Group plans to recruit approximately 300 engineers for R&D. Among other objectives of the group, we will provide a new insurance and after-sales service network in Turkey.

Renault Group Automotive CEO Hakan Doğu made people talk to bring a new model to the Oyak Renault factory, which has an annual production capacity of 390 thousand units. Stating that the new model is planned to be exhibited at Oyak Renault in the spring, Doğu said, “We are planning the 7-year production roadmap of the factory. We aim to produce a model or models that the Turkish people will like,” he said. Doğu pointed out that the biggest uncertainty in electric cars is the 2nd hand values recorded, and that battery life is of great importance here.
Profitability is changing
Doğu said, “We are getting ready for this, too. We’re going to bring it to market where the pay-as-you-go type will issue an insurance coverage. We have an idea to set up a new after-sales network. Turkey is very important for the Renault world. 3rd or 4th largest market globally. “Keep investing here,” he said.
