L1: Toulouse 2-0 AC Ajaccio (final)
the 01/01/2023 4:53 p.m.
Dominating, Toulouse logically dominated AC Ajaccio (1-0) this Sunday as part of the 17th day of Ligue 1.
In a hooked start to the game, the Toulouse team quickly set the pace and thought they would open the scoring with a real missile from Chabi despite a tight angle in the box. But with the help of the VAR, the referee canceled this but for a foul by Ratao. A few seconds later, Onaiwu had the opportunity to score, but his header slipped past Leroy’s post…
Even under pressure, the Corsicans resisted and even showed themselves capable of some interesting counterattacks. Until the break, the debates became more and more choppy with a multiplication of faults on the part of both teams.
After half-time, the TFC immediately broke with a flat shot from Ratao, following a festival from Dejaegere, to surprise a sleeping ACA team (1-0, 47th). Despite this opener, Ajaccio had trouble revolting with Violets in control.
Suffering in the game, Pantaloni’s men cracked again on a superb volley from Dejaegere on a cross from Ratao (2-0, 62nd). The winning duo! Saved by Leroy in front of Aboukhlal, Ajaccio showed no revolt at the end of the game. A victory worthy of Toulouse.
