Two nativity scenes of enthusiasts near Caen which attract the public by the thousands

In two towns in Calvados, Sainte-Honorine-du-Fay and Langrune-sur-Mer, volunteers have designed animated nativity scenesa tradition that has been practiced for decades.
The Langrune-sur-Mer crèche has been marveling for 72 years
Since 1950, this crèche has been beautiful days of the inhabitants of the village.
A project initiated by Pierre Guérin, a former resident of the village, now deceased. His brother, Guy, took over.
This nativity scene, which nests in Saint Martin’s Churchoffers much more than the classic barn.

The nursery can be visited until January 31.
The giant nativity scene in Sainte-Honorine-du-Fay celebrates its 20th anniversary
Created in 2001, this nativity scene brings the chapel of Longchamp to lifelocated in the municipality of Sainte-Honorine-du-Fay.
The idea originally came from a handful of local residents who have supported this crèche year after year. The 35m crèche2 preselection three different scenesevery year on theme changes, this year the chosen theme is “snow”. Last year, between 4,000 and 5,000 people came to admire the nativity scene.
