Access to the viaduct on Avenida Infante D. Henrique, over Avenida de Berlin, in Lisbon, was cut off this Saturday in both directions, due to the worsening collapse of the first pressure floor, announced the Lisbon City Council.

According to the municipality, in a statement released today, “due to the aggravation of the reduction”, which occurred on Thursday, “which calls into question the stability of a portico, road traffic on the opposite side was cut off today, leaving access to the viaduct of the Avenida Infante D. Henrique, on Avenida de Berlin, closed in both directions”.
The cut in circulation in that location should “keep in place for two months, for infrastructure coverage works”, with traffic remaining “to be diverted to the two side roads”.
The Lisbon City Council appeals “to everyone to avoid circulation in the area and use alternative routes: North-South: CRIL and North-South Axis; South-North: Avenida Marechal Gomes da Costa and Avenida de Pádua”.
