Espot says that “there is no need for a radical change that compromises Andorran economic growth”
ANDORRA, Dec. 31 (EUROPEAN PRESS) –
The head of government of Andorra, Xavier Espot, assured this Saturday that “there is no need for a radical change that compromises economic growth and the good trajectory of the country”.
In an institutional message at the end of the year collected by Europa Press, the Andorran leader has maintained that what is needed is “constant work to put growth back on track and to compensate for imbalances and inequalities”.
“This constant work also requires the ability to plan what can be foreseen and to know how to react to the unforeseeable”, Espot has defended.
He has insisted that Andorra “does not need a radical change of model”, after which he has defended his confidence in the creative capacity of Andorran people, companies and institutions, and considers that everyone should have tools and their own vital project and professional
In addition, he has maintained that despite being at the end of the legislature, the General Council and the Government “are working to compensate for the imbalances in economic growth and that wealth reaches all people.”
“GOOD ROLE”
He stressed that Andorra is “doing a good job” in the current context marked by the energy crisis and after the pandemic crisis.
Espot has made a positive assessment of the Andorran economy in this context, and has stressed that it is “one of the fastest growing in Europe as a whole”.
“We cannot be satisfied by staying with the large figures or large statistical variables”, acknowledged the president, who has assured that by 2023 the Government will continue working for a prosperous, open and supportive Andorra.
