Toulouse: five friends go out to a nightclub on Christmas Eve, the evening turns into a general fight
Five friends, described Christmas in a nightclub in Toulouse. The evening turned into a general fight at the end of the evening blessing a security guard.
They had decided to celebrate Christmas together and for that, five friends decided to go to a nightclub on New Year’s Eve in the north of Toulouse. The drinks follow one another, the party is in full swing. During the evening, one of the members of this 45-year-old group, in an advanced state of intoxication, will import a client. The security guard present that evening therefore decides to avoid any overflow to accompany him to the exit. This maneuver will not be to the liking of the person concerned, even less of his friends. A few steps from the exit door of this nightclub, the five revelers begin to distribute punches to the two security guards. The fight turns into a violent brawl. One of the security guards is taken to task on the stairs, his colleague is held back by one of the virulent and violent partygoers. For long minutes, the blows sometimes accompanied by various objects found on the ground will rain down. The scene was fully captured by CCTV cameras. “It was total vagueness, I defended myself”, explains one of the defendants in the box.
“Never seen so much violence”
He and his friends appeared yesterday before the Toulouse Criminal Court. “I don’t remember anything”, emphasizes the oldest of the band. His box neighbor still bears the traces of this catastrophic evening. Swollen eye, torn t-shirt, bruises on his arms… “I didn’t do this to myself,” said the latter to the presiding judge. The magistrate then gives the details of the alcohol levels measured in police custody, oscillating around one gram of alcohol per liter of blood. “I was in a daze, I don’t remember everything,” replied one of the defendants when asked why such violence occurs. One of the security guards met up front, at the helm, with his 23 years of experience as a security guard “and I’ve never seen so much violence as that night”. The prosecutor will require firm sentences for this group of friends aged between 28 and 45, defended by Me Derieux, Me Le Bonjour, Me Mouton and Me Rucel. Only the young man who already has 18 convictions on the criminal record receives a prison sentence. The oldest, the uncle of one of the defendants, leaves with six months in prison to be served under an electronic bracelet. His youngest at eight months under electronic monitoring. The other two have escaped the prison term and are leaving with a probationary reprieve over their heads. All have the obligation to work and compensate their victims.
