The UN has named the number of civilian deaths since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine
From February 24 to December 26, 6,884 people were confirmed dead in Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Office of the High Commissioner UN of human rights recorded 17,831 victims among the civilian population.

The organization confirmed that from February 24 to December 26, 6,884 people were confirmed dead in Ukraine. 10,947 civilians were also injured.
Among the 6,884 dead:
- 2,719 men;
- 1,832 women;
- 175 girls;
- 216 boys;
- 38 children and 1,904 adults whose status is currently unknown.
Among the 10,947 wounded:
- 2,364 men;
- 1,709 women;
- 229 girls;
- 318 boys;
- 253 children and 6,074 adults who are currently unaccounted for.
The UN said that these figures do not reflect the full picture of civilian casualties, which are higher than officially recorded. It is also currently difficult to obtain information about a victim from a place where active hostilities are ongoing.
