“The San Marino-Rimini Electric Railway”, the book celebrating 90 years of the Blue White Train, presented to the Regency

90 years have passed since the inauguration, in 1932, of the railway that connected San Marino to Rimini until 1944. A piece of history of the Republic that many remember with nostalgia and that theWhite Blue Train Association he wants to honor with the book “The San Marino-Rimini electric railway”, published by Aiep: a collection of all available documentation. Present at the hearing were the president and members of the Atba, whose work is praised by the Captains Regent, Mary Luisa Berti and Manuel Ciavatta, who state: “The train is, and must remain alive in the memory of the people of San Marino and we are grateful to the Association for the sensitivity and care with which it has guarded and preserved this memory for years”. “It was an honor for us to present the book to the Regency – he says Alessandro Rattini, president of the Treno Bianco Azzurro Association -. Inside there are many documents and unedited photo“. Before the hearing, the Captains Regent boarded the refurbished AB 03 electromotive – what remains of the little train – and traveled the 900 meters of restored railway. A symbolic gesture of appreciation for a work of historical and touristic interest. Now, realize the connection between Borgo Maggiore and the historic centreaccording to the Secretary of Tourism Pedini Amati, it is not a promise, but “a political obligation. It doesn’t matter if this government or another does it – he explains -, the important thing is to do it in good time. For too many years the people of San Marino have been waiting to see the little train traveling on its tracks”.
