House prices in Portugal rose 6.4% compared to last year – O Amarense
House prices in Portugal rose 6.4% in 2022, considering data from December of this year and the same month last year.
According to the “Idealista” price index, buying a house had a cost of 2,475 euros per square meter (euros/m2) at the end of December this year, taking into account the median value.
A visible scenario in almost all of Portugal, as houses became more expensive in 19 district capitals in 2022, with Évora leading the rise (37.5%). In Braga, house prices rose by 14.5% and by 7.4% in Porto during the same period.
In relation to the monthly and quarterly variation, house prices in Portugal rose by 0.6% and 3.6%, respectively.
Thus, house prices in 2022 rose in 19 district capitals with Évora (37.5%), Ponta Delgada (36.4%) and Funchal (25.9%) leading the list.
This is followed by Santarém (21.2%), Aveiro (20.3%), Faro (19.1%), Leiria (18.2%), Vila Real (17.9%), Setúbal (17.9% ). ), Beja (16.4%), Braga (14.5%), Viana do Castelo (12.9%), Bragança (12.6%), Viseu (10.4%), Porto (7.4% ), Coimbra (7.2%), Guarda (6.6%), Castelo Branco (5.2%) and Lisbon (3.1%).
