Vikash Dhorasoo : “Ma saison aux Girondins de Bordeaux, c’était super”
On France Blue Girondethe former midfielder, Vikash Dhorasoo, is the memory of his season spent at the Girondins de Bordeaux. It was during the 2001-2002 financial year, he who was on loan from Olympique Lyonnais. That year, he had a full season with 28 first division matches played, five European matches, two Coupe de France matches, and five Coupe de la Ligue matches. He scored a goal in Ligue 1, and 1 goal in the Coupe de la Ligue. He also won the 2002 version of the League Cup.
“My season at the Girondins de Bordeaux was great. Already, I was happy to arrive there because it was a bit complicated in Lyon, so I was happy to sign for Bordeaux with Elie Baup. And I also find people I knew, whether it’s Jérôme Bonnissel, our friend David Sommeil, Christophe Dugarry… And then afterwards, I also discovered Pedro Pauleta and other players. And my daughter was born in Bordeaux… We had a good season, unfortunately in the league, it didn’t go all the way. But we won the League Cup too. I also discovered a region… It was a great year of transition. Maybe there was an opportunity to stay in Bordeaux and eventually I returned to Lyon. It’s a great and beautiful memory […] Le Havre and Bordeaux are two clubs in which I played, so I’m happy”.
