In the coming months, until the end of February, Ukraine intends to hold a “peace summit” at the United Nations in order to put an end to the war.
This was reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba in an interview Associated Press.
UN Secretary General António Guterres is the main one. Commenting on the role of Secretary General Kuleb, he said: “Antonio Guterres has shown himself to be an effective mediator and an effective participant in the negotiations, and most importantly, as a principled and decent person. Therefore, we will be glad for his active participation.”
“The United Nations could be the best place to do this work, because it’s not about doing favors for any country. It is about involving all countries,” the minister added.
Answering a question about whether Russia is being invited, he said that Moscow must first stand before an international court for war crimes.
The head of the Foreign Ministry also explained that the statement of the Russians about readiness for negotiations is false, as their actions on the battlefield indicate the opposite. He assured that Ukraine will do everything possible to win the war in 2023.
“Any war ends diplomatically. Any war ends as a result of actions on the battlefield and at the negotiating table,” Kuleba concluded.
