Munich today – news from December 26th, 2022 – Munich
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I don’t know about you, but I always feel like moving after so much eating and sitting around. And sometimes it’s a nice change after family celebrations to meet up with friends outside for a walk – maybe with a bite to eat.
If you are the project and are still looking for paths and cafés that are open: My colleague Ana Maria Michel has put together a few suggestions from Westpark via Isar to the English Garden, where you can not only go for a nice walk, but also warm up afterwards. If YOU would rather get away from the city for a day and get out there, We have a few tips for you on this as well.
Personally, I prefer to go to the mountains when there is enough time, because winter is simply the most beautiful there: good air, correspondingly few people (at least if you choose the right mountains), and after a day in the cold your body has gotten into such high gear that you don’t get cold so quickly at home. If you want to try this too, try these tips. What is usually a special pleasure in winter: after a sweaty ascent, to whiz down into the valley on a toboggan or bobsleigh. However, this requires enough snow – and there is currently no snow even in the mountains. But soon hopefully!
I wish you a good time between the years if possible without or at least with little work, lots of time with family and friends – and stay healthy!
