The winter season, induced by first station openings in the Pyrenees, will vibrate to the rhythm of a great competition. The Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals descended into Andorra, from March 13 to 19, 2023. The last edition in the principality dates back to 2019!
Andorra, “The place to Be! »
It is in the domain of grandvalira that the various events will take place, over a week that promises to be rich in emotions. And the enclosure is already enticing future visitors, launching an appeal: the principality will be “The place to be”, a few days before the arrival of the next spring! From Monday March 13 to Sunday March 19, the program will therefore be lively on the slopes, with multiple events bringing together the 25 best skiers in the world in each discipline.
Downhill, Super-G and Special Slalom
On the occasion of these different meetings, there will be three major events: the downhill (DH)the Super-G (SG)and the Slalom-Special (SL). The first is the queen of alpine skiing disciplines, where speed comes first. The second, which can also be called “Super Giant Slalom” is more technical with a shortened course compared to the descent. Finally, the last is the most technical of the three events and this time takes place over two rounds. There will also be a mixed team parallel slalom (MTP).
