World Cup in U20 hockey – Slovakia clearly defeated Austria in the general round

Slovakian under-20 hockey players managed their last preparatory match before the sharp start of the junior championship, defeating their peers from Austria 5:1.
The Slovaks claimed their first triumph in the preparation, having previously lost to Germany 0:5 and Canada 1:6. Against Austria, they took the lead at the end of the first period thanks to Servác Petrovský, but the opponent equalized in 21 seconds. After that, goals were scored only in the Austrian goal.
In the second period, Dalibor Dvorský gradually gained ground, Petrovský added his second goal, and Samuel Honzek scored on the power play. In the last act, Libor Nemec made the final 5:1.
Team captain Šimon Nemec had the biggest share in the win, he scored four assists. Filip Mešár scored one less assist.
The implementation team will publish the final nomination today, which the Slovaks will receive on Tuesday, December 27 at 17.00 our time in a duel against Finland.
