Guglielmo Vicario in the sights of AC Milan
The latest news on Mike Maignan’s injury is not good. Indeed, the A.C. Milan is ready to modify its plans for transfer targeting Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli.
It is hoped that Maignan would be back in action when the match resumes. A-series on January 4 against Salernitana, but tests showed the calf problem that ruled him out of France’s World Cup campaign was still not fully healed. Ciprian Tatarusanu was forced to fill in but is far from reliable for a long-term role.
However, according to the newspaper Corriere della Sera, AC Milan would therefore rather turn to Vicario, 26. He’s made plenty of sensational saves for Empoli this season, which he bought on loan from Cagliari at a cost of €8.5million. Vicario has recently broken into the Italy squad under Roberto Mancini and all this has boosted his price tag to €15m.
