Posti distributed almost 7 million packages during the peak Christmas weeks – Finns have also been actively sending Christmas cards
The Finns have remembered again a loved one with lots of Christmas packages and cards. Posti delivered a total of almost 7 million packages during the peak weeks of Christmas, starting with Black Week.
“A lot of packages have been delivered to parcel machines, service points and homes. We are pleased to say that the customer feedback we receive during the busiest time of the year exceeds the long-term average.
During the Christmas season, we have received feedback about our parcel services almost 40,000 times, with an average of 4.55/5. Special thanks go to the service attitude of the drivers and home deliveries. We will continue to work to ensure that the packages are always delivered to the pick-up location they want,” says Tommi Kässiwho is responsible for Posti’s large domestic e-commerce customers.
Christmas cards have also been popular. So far, almost 14 million cards have been sent.
“Many have again decided to spread joy with a traditional Christmas card. According to our research, Christmas cards are the most popular Christmas greeting and the recipients keep the cards for a long time”, says Sami Määttäwho is responsible for Posti’s consumer letter services.
Our goal is to deliver Christmas greetings that require address verification due to a wrong or incomplete address at Posti, as well as Christmas greetings sent to Posti after the last mailing days of Christmas, by the new year.
“Christmas is a matter of honor for us at Posti, and this year we have made Christmas happen in different parts of Finland with the help of around 20,000 Christmas makers. Many thanks to all postmen and our customers for a successful Christmas season. We wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year, says Jarmo AinasojaPosti’s Christmas manager.
