Helsinki closes some vaccination centers | News
The residents of the capital can get vaccinated in Jätkäsaari only from January.
Several vaccination centers located in the capital, including Itäkeskus, Malmi and Kannelmäki, will close their doors after the New Year.
The city of Helsinki announced the decision on Friday morning.
“Coronavirus and flu vaccination rounds are coming to an end for this year. So it’s a good idea to get the shots now while they’re still readily available at several vaccination centers,” director of health centers Timo Lukkarinen said in the release.
Vaccination centers are still open on public holidays, on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm.
The last chance to poke around in Itäkeskus is December 29. In Malmi and Kannelmäki, the last injections will be made on December 30.
The center of Helsinki’s Jätkäsaari is open until January 2023.
Health centers have offered both the Covid and the flu vaccine in one appointment. More information about flu vaccinations in the capital can be found at https://influenssarokotus.hel.fi/fi/ (you switch to another service).
